Treena has over 25 years experience working with complex, high risk, safety sensitive, multi-faceted scenarios, and environments. With a background in clinical mental health, behavioural analysis, criminal justice risk assessment, public safety case management, investigations, occupational health and safety, employee assistance, disability case management, critical incident stress management and adjudication, she provides specialized expertise to diverse client populations and organizations. She possesses substantial experience working in various environments such as government regulated, health care, educational, nonprofit, business, first responder, and union environments, with the persuasive negotiation talent to also mediate within civil, workplace, community and family dispute contexts.
Treena excels at adapting her ADR style, and tailoring services for business and organizational needs. To improve efficiency and reduce costs, Treena is able to identify and critically analyze unknown risks and unresolved conflicts within your business or organization and leverage the solutions from your leaders and employees, which contributes to an increase in engagement and productivity. A passion for upskilling and education has enabled Treena to be a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.
Treena is a Trauma Informed Mediator, Investigator, Certified Resiliency Trainer/Facilitator, ISO Certified and Psychological Health & Safety Advisor and Workplace Analyst and Restoration Specialist. She is recognized as an international author and trainer on the topics of Trauma Informed Management and Resiliency. Her credentials include a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Criminology and Psychology) University of Manitoba, Bachelor of Social Work, (clinical/forensic mental health) from the University of Victoria, Executive Certificate Conflict Management (Windsor Law School/SHG), Workplace Mental Health Certification (Osgoode Law School). She is also certified as Family and Civil Mediator (Ontario – non-lawyer), Certified in Critical Incident Stress Management, ASSIST, Resiliency Facilitator, Mental Health First Aid, Diversity Facilitator and a Trauma Trauma Sensitive Yoga.
Treena is a retired member of the Board of Directors and remains serving as Chair of the Professional Development Committee for Alternate Dispute Institute of Ontario (ADRIO), Advisory Committee and Mediator for the Diversified Dispute Resolution Centre Canada (DDRIOC), Program Advisory Committee (PAC) Durham College, ADR Specialist for Canadian Cannabis Dispute Resolution Centre and Trainer for Cansult Ed, a member of ADR Canada and Respect Group Certified. She is affiliated as a Workplace Resiliency Specialist with the International Workplace Fairness Institute and is a Resilient Think Tank Co-founder and partner.
