Jeff Thompson is a retired Superintendent of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) with over 28 years of service which included extensive experience in high profile, complex criminal investigations, counter-terrorism operations, and international deployments to areas of conflict. 

His experience in the RCMP included several years of leadership and supervision of multiple teams as well as international deployments to places such as Kenya, Afghanistan, and the occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank in Israel.  The bulk of his service in the RCMP was focused on national security criminal investigations of all types including several international hostage taking cases, Canadian extremist travelers, and foreign interference by hostile state actors.

Following his retirement from the RCMP, Jeff served at the Privy Council Office (PCO) where he conducted internal security investigations associated to the unauthorized release of sensitive classified intelligence to the media (insider threats).  In that role, Jeff provided briefing and advice to senior executives of the PCO to enhance and improve its insider risk management program.

In short, Jeff is a career security professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience leading teams of security professionals in tackling complex and difficult situations and environments.
